I am currently a college student, and will be attending the University of Saint Francis this coming fall. I attained my Associates Degree in Web Design & Administration from Joliet Junior College. I was a spotlight student at JJC as well, you can view that article over here.
One of the scholarships that I am applying for is the Franciscan Challenge. It requires that I write a 500-1000 word paper on why I chose Web Development (Computer Science) as my chosen field. What you are about to read is the essay that I will be submitting. I hope you enjoy it and will possibly be able see why I do what I do. Please post your comments and if you want-contact me with anything you may want to know about.

The idea spawned two years ago from my own imagination to start something that could have the possibility to grow into something much larger. I am still very, very small in terms of what I have done, and what I offer. As time passes, I would like to grow into a firm and have a staff of a reasonable size.

Currently the world wide web contains millions of users-and there are over 180 million web sites that are currently live (source). With this large number of posted sites-web masters, developers, and designers have to code for the majority of the six billion of us on the planet (source). Looking into this number you have to understand that not everyone is equal and you have to build you site for those with impairments and for those without. This post will take a deeper look into 126 Studios and it’s coding and how it supports accessibility for all.
