Hello Everyone!
I am Jason Kryst, leader of 126 Studios(http://126studios.com) and the Web Administrator of this site. I figured I would take the time to give you a little announcement about the Chicago Sceptors Web Site.
History
I began development of this site in the spring of 2009. The web site, http://chicagosceptors.com was born on March 22, 2009. Rick (RickyRedEye) was good friends with my father through work and through chatting an agreement was made to create the site that you see in front of you now. This site has countless hours of work put into it, and I constantly am making minor changes to the code that makes it tick.
Details
This site is actually three separate parts. The talk area (http://talk.chicagosceptors.com), the main site (http://chicagosceptors.com) and the back-end administration (http://chicagosceptors.com/admin). These three parts make up The Chicago Sceptors Web Site. The majority of you will only see two of the three parts (Talk/Main). What made this project so unique was the way to through the events into a database, that way it can be easily added and modified. Lots of work went into that area that is now the RSVP/Attendance/Event areas. You do use these zones, but in though an indirect manner. RSVPing ties all of those systems together.
Future
I continue to look over this site and continue to do what I can to make this place home for all of you. I watch the talk and watch over all of the systems that bring this place together. I am happy to say that this is one of my favorite web sites that I have created. So many of you have made this project great through your comments, concerns and details. I thank all of you! I work with five or so different clients, and you guys have to be the best!
Some Stats
I am able to track visitors on all of the sites that I develop and host. I am happy to say that this site is the most visited site that I manage (including my own!). The two images are from the server directly and show how many people visit the site.
